The Technology Behind the Same Day Teeth® Protocol
By now, you’ve probably heard about Same Day Teeth®, the revolutionary protocol for dental implants that reduces the time between your implants and new teeth being placed to the same office visit. The technology behind Same Day Teeth® is what makes this procedure so efficient and as quality and long lasting as traditional dental implants. Today, we’ll walk through some of high-tech terms you’ll hear when you come in for your Same Day Teeth® consultation. From CBCT scans to polymethyl methacrylate, read on to learn more about the state-of-the-art technology and materials and the cutting edge procedure behind this revolution in dental implants.
Planning Your Surgery with State-of-the-art Technology
The efficiency and efficacy of Same Day Teeth® begins in the planning stage. The Same Day Teeth® protocol uses some of the most advanced state-of-the-art technology in the industry to help us plan your surgery with the greatest accuracy and precision available.
Like with traditional dental implants, we begin with a full imaging workup, using a 3D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan. This allows us to evaluate your underlying bone structure and plan for the optimal placement of your dental implants. With these images, we use a surgical planning software that develops a treatment strategy and acts as a guide throughout your entire procedure. Our computer-guided dental implant surgery uses the nSequence® proprietary protocol to find the optimal placement locations for your dental implants.
Implants and Prosthetics in the Same Visit
The Same Day Teeth® difference is the decreased wait time between the placement of the implants and the loading of the prosthetic. We can place a bar-supported, immediate-load, full-arch restoration during the same visit as your surgery. Our custom-designed prosthetics are milled from a solid block of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) using impressions and computer images of your bite. PMMA is strong, durable, non-toxic, and highly biocompatible.
Color Matching Your Prosthetic to Your Natural Teeth
Aesthetically, we strive to make sure your implants look natural; our laboratory technicians can color-match your full-arch restoration to your natural teeth for a seamless integration into your smile. You will experience an immediate difference in the aesthetics and function of your bite.
