“I chose a career in health care, specifically oral and maxillofacial surgery, because it involves a challenging combination of medicine, surgery and artistic vision. In addition, it gives me the ability to help patients gain freedom from painful dental conditions and improve the appearance and function of their smiles. To do this, I’ve made sure that I have the educational background and up-to-date training to give my patients the best care possible. This includes residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. I also complete many hours of continuing education each year and maintain membership in many professional organizations.
“I believe the best care means treating patients with empathy and compassion. I like to spend time with my patients, answering their questions and thoroughly explaining any recommended treatment. I find that educating my patients can help alleviate any fears they may have, plus it makes for better overall treatment.”
